What is U2J?

AI is now essential across nearly every career. U2J helps trainees become expert users of AI and no-code tools, without needing any technical background. Through weekly challenges and guided career preparation, trainees build the competencies to stand out in today's workforce, manage projects, generate content, and communicate professionally using AI tools. Whether you're entering the job market or already in it, U2J builds the skills you need to succeed.

None. This program is built for learners from any academic background. No coding or technical experience required. Curiosity, motivation, and willingness to work in teams are key to success.

Project-Based Learning

Trainees complete:

  • 10 technical challenges
  • 10 career readiness challenges

Each challenge mimics real workplace scenarios. Trainees will:

  • Summarize long documents using LLMs
  • Build project dashboards using Notion
  • Use AI for image creation, research, and outreach
  • Generate reports and professional emails using AI
  • Analyze data for predictions and recommendations

Supported Job Phase

While U2J doesn't guarantee job placement, it helps you build:

  • A portfolio of 10+ projects
  • A certificate of completion
  • Proof of AI fluency, professionalism, and job-readiness
  • A strong edge when applying for entry-level roles

Career Outcomes

Graduates of U2J are well-equipped to pursue roles like:

  • Project Manager (AI-assisted)
  • Assistant Project Manager
  • Task Manager or Project Coordinator

Entry-level roles in operations, communications, and marketing

Pricing

This program is fully funded by the GitLab Foundation, so it is free of cost for all accepted trainees. No deposit or payment is required before, during, or after the training.

Training Approach

Each week includes:

  • Daily standups (live + recorded)
  • Technical & career challenges
  • Live and recorded tutorials (1–2 per area)
  • Women-only sessions
  • Guest talks and community-building

Support includes:

  • Slack-based community manager
  • Full-time technical tutors with 5-minute response time
  • Feedback and grades within one week
